About

One person, a few small apps.

I'm Jamie Farrell. I design, build and support the ShopLyft apps myself, from Orlando, Florida, through my company, TFC Business Solutions LLC.

Why

I wanted app pricing I could check.

I started building these for Belleza, my own small skincare shop on Shopify. I needed points, creator codes and subscriptions, and I had almost no budget for apps.

The free plans I found were capped or stamped with a badge. The paid plans were often priced on my whole store's orders, or they counted a sale because a shopper had seen a widget. I couldn't tell what I was paying for.

So each of these apps charges only on orders that carry its own mark: a code it issued, or a subscription line on a plan it created. Every one of those orders is listed on the app's Billing page, so you can check my math. If you would rather not think about it, there is a flat $29 plan instead.

How I build them

A few rules I keep.

01One job per app

Points and referrals, creator codes, subscriptions and product quizzes are four separate installs. You add only what you use and pay for each one on its own.

02Small in admin, roomy in Studio

The everyday basics sit on three normal Shopify admin pages. Anything that takes more than half a minute opens in Studio, a full-screen workspace inside your admin.

03Light on your storefront

The theme pieces are plain scripts with no outside libraries and no tracking pixels. I keep each script file under 10 KB.

04Your data stays yours

I never sell store or customer data or share it with advertisers. When you uninstall, the app deletes what it holds for your store once Shopify asks it to.

Right now

Where things stand

  • PerkJar, RallyCrew, NextBatch and Wayfind are built and installed on a development store and on my own shop while I test them. I am working through the Shopify App Store listings.
  • GatherCrate, for bundles and multi-packs, is still being finished. It will use the same two plans.
  • Every change that matters to a store owner goes in the changelog.

I am one person, so I can't promise to build every request. I do read all of them. Email him@thejamiefarrell.com and the reply comes from me. I aim to answer within two business days.
