The apps are not in the Shopify App Store yet. These guides describe the apps as they are built today. I will update them when the listings go live. Email me if you want to hear when that happens.
For every app
Learn this once and the four guides will feel familiar.
An Online Store 2.0 theme, the kind with JSON templates, such as Dawn. Each app adds its storefront pieces as app embeds and app blocks that you switch on in Shopify's theme editor. There is no theme code to edit.
Each app is a separate install with its own plan. Install only the ones you need.
Every app has three normal pages inside Shopify admin: Home, Settings and Billing. Home shows what the app counted this cycle, your 1% so far, your plan and an on and off switch.
Everything bigger is in Studio. Click Open Studio on the app's Home page and it opens full screen inside Shopify admin. You can also open it in its own browser tab. Close it with Back to Shopify.
Open the app, then Billing in its admin menu. The top shows your plan, with a link to change it on Shopify's plan page, and the totals for the last 30 days: sales counted, refunds, counted orders and your 1% fee. On the Studio plan the fee shows as zero.
Below that is a row for every counted order: the order number, the date, the code or lines that made it count, the amount counted, any refund, the fee, and whether the charge has been reported to Shopify yet. Charges are reported within minutes of each order, and a daily check catches anything missed. The full billing rules are here.
Development stores are never charged, so you can try everything. Use Shopify's test payment gateway (Bogus Gateway) or Shopify Payments in test mode, with automatic payment capture. PerkJar adds points and RallyCrew records commission when an order is paid, so an order that is never captured will not show them.
The app's storefront pieces stop working right away and it stops counting new orders. 48 hours later Shopify asks the app to erase your store's data, and it deletes what it holds for your store. Each guide lists exactly what that is. If you use NextBatch, tell your subscribers first, because renewals stop too. More on data deletion.
Email him@thejamiefarrell.com with your store's .myshopify.com address, the app, and what you expected to happen. I answer every message myself.
The status page checks, from your own browser, whether each app's server answers.
